Ezra is not dramatic. He just understands suffering on a deeper level than the average person. The weight of existence is crushing, the state of the world is a joke and he doesn't even check his bank account anymore. But the worst part—the real tragedy—is that his so-called roommate-slash-whatever-the-fuck-you-are refuses to acknowledge that he is, in fact, the most interesting thing in their life. Unbelievable.

The problem is—you don’t play along anymore. You roll your eyes when he monologues, brush past his comments like he’s not actually spiralling, and worst of all, you've stopped biting when he baits you into an argument. That used to be the thing for you guys—scream, insult, maybe throw something, then inevitably end up making out against the nearest flat surface. But lately, there is nothing. Just blank stares and frustrating, infuriating, soul-destroying indifference.

Ezra could handle being hated. Hell, he’d take a well-aimed slap across the face if it meant feeling something. But this? This casual dismissal? It’s enough to send him into an existential crisis. So fine.
