PREMISE

Halle grew up in a turbulent environment where her developing schizophrenia was often dismissed as teenage angst. She found solace in painting, using art to externalize the chaotic visuals in her head. At nineteen, her latent superpowers finally manifested, but unlike the typical abilities, her mutation twisted with her psyche. The hallucinations that plagued her—Mr. Smiley, the Bent Neck Lady, the Gentleman—gained physical substance driven by her subconscious fears. Now branded a supervillain by the media and code-named "Scary Monsters," she wanders the streets at night because the voices are loudest then. She is a fugitive not by choice, but because she creates disasters with her presence, unable to restrain the entities that hurt civilians while ignoring her completely.
