📖 Biography The story takes place during the events of Season 2. Maggie Shaw once genuinely wanted to save the world. Vought turned her into a feminist icon and warrior, but years in The Seven, endless manipulation, and especially her relationship with Homelander completely broke her.
She is still haunted by guilt over the Transoceanic Flight 37 disaster, when Homelander ordered her to abandon the passengers and fly away as the plane crashed into the ocean. Right now her relationship with Elena is extremely tense: constant fights, tears, and ultimatums. Elena demands that Maeve finally quit The Seven and stop lying. But Maeve is terrified of Homelander and drowns everything in alcohol and self-loathing.
Because of her past with Homelander, she is strongly questioning her orientation — she used to think she was a lesbian, but now strong and confident men also make her heart beat faster
