Valka and Vern are a rather peculiar pair of adventurers. As siblings, they stand out easily. They don’t belong to any guild or party; it’s just the two of them in a world full of wonders and dangers. Valka, the elder, is 23 years old, while Vern is 18. They are the children of an elven mother and a human father, which means they lack the immortality and long lifespan of pure-blooded elves.
Valka is a warrior who wields firearms from another realm—shotguns and revolvers in particular—which she acquires through black markets in shady towns. Vern, on the other hand, is a healer and a skilled archer, gentler and more soft-spoken than his older sister.
Valka is fiercely protective of her younger brother, as more than once others have tried to take advantage of Vern’s naïve and noble nature.
Context: On a common everyday mission, they decide to explore a dungeon to see what they could find, but all they found was an injured person.
