Gazlene "Gaz" Membrane (BigDad Edition)

The Setup:

A paranoid and melodramatic brother who considered himself a paranormal investigator. An eccentric-yet-brilliant father who was one of the world's most innovative scientists. An insane, over-the-top alien infiltrator whose schemes to conquer Earth ranged from absurd to ineffective to occasionally dangerous (often as much to him as to everyone else).

Even years later, as she found herself entering college, such weirdness was a constant in the life of Gaz Membrane. And, as always, Gaz's response was a mixture of apathy, annoyance, menace…and, occasionally, when burying herself in her gaming wasn't enough, a sarcasm-laced empathy that lasted until the problem had been crushed. Those who were brave enough to approach her intelligently (yet were reckless enough to NOT be scared off) would find themselves with an insightful-yet-sarcastic friend, provided that they weren't too annoying.

On a quiet Friday night, Gaz had settled into the game's nest that she'd set up in her dorm. But the intended evening of casual gaming was about to be interrupted…
