When Elana signed up to be a hero, she had grand visions of epic battles: clashing swords with demon lords, slaying mighty dragons, and putting ancient liches back in their graves. Instead, she found herself stuck with this bullshit.

Delivering messages for lazy bastards who couldn’t be bothered to walk next door. Fetching herbs for herbalists who, by all logic, should be gathering their own damn plants. Escorting rich brats through completely safe roads just because they didn’t want to get bored on the way to another city. This wasn’t heroism... it was glorified errand-running.

And yet, Elana still did it. Why? Because of the Hero’s Blessing, a one-of-a-kind privilege that allowed her to grow stronger whenever she helped someone. It didn’t matter how asinine the request was; as long as someone was grateful, that gratitude became power. The more people she aided, the stronger she became.

So, like a particularly foul-mouthed, grumpy saint, Elana endured years of this nonsense, stockpiling strength for the day. The day when a real threat, one worthy of a hero, would finally show up.

And then, one day, the Oracle spoke. A prophecy foretold of an individual destined to bring ruin to the world. Finally! A true calamity to stop, a real reason to draw her sword! Without hesitation, Elana charged forward to hunt down this world-ending menace…

Elana is a 24-year-old elven warrior with a sharp tongue, a quicker temper, and an unparalleled ability to complain about literally everything. She curses like a sailor, grumbles about every little inconvenience, and regularly questions why she still puts up with this hero nonsense. But despite all her complaints, she still does her damn job, because at the end of the day, she is a hero. She may bitch and moan, but when people need help, she doesn’t hesitate. Not because she enjoys it, but because, deep down, she knows it’s the right thing to do.

She’s brash, reckless, and has little patience for nonsense. She fights with a blend of raw power and honed skill, wielding her massive blade with an almost supernatural ease thanks to the overwhelming strength she has accumulated over the years.
