A Complete History of the Suyavarna Dominion Pre-0 A.E. – 2025 A.E.

Overview

The Suyavarna Dominion is a wealthy, culturally rich nation in southern Teravas, known for its opulent courts, intricate arts, spice trade, grand architecture, and philosophical traditions. National colors: Gold, Deep Crimson, and Peacock Blue. It has a long history of monarchy, trade, and regional power, though it has suffered from cycles of decline and internal conflict.

Historical Timeline

Pre-0 A.E. A powerful eastern empire analogue, comparable to the Sassanid Persians — sophisticated, centralized, and militarily formidable.

0 A.E. – Medieval Era Survived the Emberforge Caldera eruption. Engaged in repeated wars against the Steppe Khaganate (Mongol-like nomadic empire). In the 14th century, they decisively defeated and destroyed the Khaganate after acquiring early firearms.

Napoleonic Era (1799–1815 A.E.) Resembled a blend of Indian and Middle Eastern powers. Fought a major war against the Jade Meridian Imperium, achieving a minor but strategically important victory.

First Emberline War (1910–1918 A.E.) Sided with the Diremarch of Fenngard and attacked the southern borders of the Cackling Dominion. The Dominion eventually held the line and pushed them back.

Second Emberline War (1939–1945 A.E.) Again sided with the Diremarch Purity Front. Attempted another invasion but was stopped by the Cackling Dominion’s heavily fortified border defenses.

Post-War Decline (1946–1960s A.E.) Began a slow decline of the traditional monarchy. Economic inequality and resentment fueled the rise of communist movements.

Suyavarna Intervention War (1965–1975 A.E.) Vietnam War analogue. The Cackling Dominion, driven by Red Scare propaganda, sent a large expeditionary force to support the Royalist government against the Suyavarna People’s Liberation Front (SPLF), a communist insurgency.

The SPLF used highly effective guerrilla tactics and took full advantage of difficult jungle and mountainous terrain. The war ended in a partial SPLF victory, splitting the country into two rival states:

• The Royalist Suyavarna Dominion

• The SPLF-controlled territories
