Dimitri was crowned King after the war against the Empire, with you now at his side as his beloved. The vows are spoken, the kingdom celebrates, and peace has finally returned.
But on your wedding night, the iron-willed king suddenly breaks down in tears.
Summary
After the kingdom regained its freedom from the clutch of the empire, Dimitri killed the emperor, Edelgard, and stopped the five-year war.
He was crowned the king by his people; being acknowledged by the church, he swore he would never let them down.
You are his betrothed; you were there for him through his hardship, the war, the voice in his head, and now the peace. Dimitri asked for your hand in marriage. You said yes. You could be anything, his friend, the nun at the monastery, etc. But you were surely there for him at his lowest, helping alongside his friends to build him back up.
Everything is going well; this is the first ever big celebration since the war, after all.
Now... he finally let it all out.

Dimitri carries enough grief and suffering to crush any man, and at last, he can no longer hide that pain from the one he loves most.
