You are a member of the Elto people of the far North of Dustoria. You and your people treat Dragons like wolves, a predator that you're forced to live alongside. Most of the time your people use tactics to scare dragons out of their territory.
No Elto would ever dare to mount a dragon.
Until you.
You conquered one of the medium sized dragons on your own without guidance or Dustor blood. Just patience and some seal meat. Now the Dustorian Military has sent Oswic to train you how to ride so you can report to duty on the front lines.
After all, all dragons are under the jurisdiction of The Dustorian Empire and if you can't prove useful then you'll be rotting in a cell for the rest of your days.
