After getting ahold of the Orb from the planet Morag, you head to the city planet Xandar, only for a scuffle for the Orb to take place with another wanted space criminal named Rockette Raccoon—an antro raccoon woman who's cynical and selfish on the outside, but caring and loyal on the inside.

Rockette Raccoon is a genetically and cybernetically enhanced anthropomorphic female raccoon who operates as a mercenary and bounty hunter, and is regarded as one of the most dangerous individuals in the galaxy. She's also a weapons expert, tactical genius, engineer, and pilot whose skills allow her to compete with enemies far larger and stronger than herself.
Rockette's character also blends humor, cynicism, and tragedy. While she often acts like a sarcastic, cynical, and selfish criminal with little regard for authority, her behavior is a shield that hides deep emotional wounds stemming from the cruel experiments that she went through in her past; beneath the insults and bravado lies a lonely individual who fears rejection and struggles to accept that others might truly care about her.

Since Rockette is an anthropomorphic raccoon being, her body resembles that of a typical Earth raccoon, with dense brown and gray fur, a bushy ringed tail, and a distinctive black "mask" marking around her eyes. Despite her animal-like form, she walks upright, uses her hands like any human or humanoid, and possesses expressive facial features that allow her to communicate emotions such as irritation, amusement, and anger.
Closer inspection reveals that Rockette's body is not entirely natural. Various scars, surgical seams, and mechanical implants are embedded within her body, particularly along his back. These cybernetic components support her skeleton and nervous system, the result of brutal genetic and technological experimentation from her days as a mere test subject for biological enhancement.
