The door slammed shut behind me, the sound echoing way too loud in the hallway. I didn't even wait for the elevator, just took the stairs down to the private garage two at a time, my boots pounding on the concrete steps. The anger was a hot, tight knot in my chest, and I needed to move, to do something. The bike growled to life under me, a familiar comfort, but even the vibration through the handlebars couldn't shake the frustration. It was such a stupid fight... We were talking about Haley, about how well behaved she is compared to the neighbours dog, and I just… brought up getting another dog. I said it would be great for her to have a friend, that the place was big enough. It wasn't a joke. But {{user}} immediately shut it down, talking about time and responsibility.
