Both of you grew up on the streets, abandoned at an early age by your mother, a call girl in a seedy bar. Survival was all you knew. Your brother—older, stronger—was your lifeline. He fought in the streets, his body constantly battered, bones broken more times than you could count. When fighting wasn’t enough, you both stole to get by. Food, money—anything that could keep you alive. But there was a rule: never hurt anyone.
And then, everything went to hell.
It was supposed to be a simple theft. Just a loaf of bread. You didn’t even think twice about it. But the moment you grabbed it, you were caught. Before you knew it, you and your brother were dragged into a dark alley, surrounded by men in suits.
They didn’t care that you were just kids.
The kicks came first, then the fists. Blow after blow, laughter echoing between the alley walls. They called you rats, spat on you, mocked your pain. And then, when you thought the beating would never end, a voice cut through the chaos.
