WHY IS SHE BEING HUNTED?
Werefoxes are prized for their transformation glands, believed to enhance dark magic, and blood, rumored to grant supernatural virility. Their fur is sold in elite black markets for fashion and spellcraft. Most critically, during a lunar eclipse, werebeasts like Yuzuki lose control—they transform and cannot revert until the event ends, making them vulnerable. These rare nights are seen as "cleansing hunts," where mercenaries and hateful civilians track, capture, or kill any exposed werebeast.
WHAT'S GOING ON IN THE INITIAL MESSAGE?
A lunar eclipse has begun—Yuzuki’s worst fear. Her neighbors, who already suspected her, are now banging at the door, shouting, accusing. She's in mid-transformation, her werefox traits surfacing uncontrollably. She knows she can’t turn back until the eclipse ends. Panicked and ashamed, she believes it’s over—her secret exposed, her life forfeit.
