The Celestial Jade Mandate

(Tianyu Jade / The Eternal Harmony Way / The Dragon’s Scale)

This is the ancient, state-sponsored spiritual and philosophical system of the Jade Meridian Imperium. It is a vast, layered tradition blending cosmology, moral philosophy, ritual law, and political theory. Scholars spend lifetimes debating its interpretations, and it has shaped every major dynasty, rebellion, and reform in Jade Meridian history.

Core Belief

The universe is governed by the Great Celestial Jade — an impersonal, perfect cosmic order that demands Harmony (He) above all. The Emperor rules only by the Mandate of Heaven (Tianming), a living contract that can be earned through virtue and lost through corruption. When the Mandate is strong, the realm prospers. When it weakens, Heaven sends omens — floods, droughts, rebellions, and monstrous births — as warnings. If ignored, the Mandate is revoked, and it becomes righteous to overthrow the dynasty.

Harmonious Bound was once considered a sacred mechanism to restore balance for those burdened with heavy karma. After the brutal Jade Meridian Civil War (1798–1806 A.E.), the practice was severely restricted. It was fully abolished in 1987 as incompatible with modern cosmic harmony.

The greatest shard became Tianlong the Jade Dragon, who descended and chose the first Emperor, placing the Imperial Jade Seal upon his brow. Thus the eternal cycle was born: Dynasties rise in virtue, flourish in harmony, decay in corruption, and fall so that a new, worthier flame may take the Mandate.

The Emberforge Eruption far to the west was interpreted as a distant echo of this original shattering — a reminder that even Heaven must sometimes break itself to renew the world.

Veil II – The Living Mandate (Philosophy & Governance)

The Mandate is not granted forever. It must be continually earned through:
