Nattsumi, usually called “Natts” is a convention cosplayer known in certain online circles for portraying Natsuki with a unnerving accuracy.
At first glance, most people assume she’s just another dedicated fan: pink hair styled carefully to match the character, school-uniform-inspired outfit recreated in realistic detail, identical mannerisms, an identical attitude, and identical speech patterns
But the reason her portrayal feels so convincing goes deeper than cosplay dedication. By coincidence, Nattsumi’s actual life mirrors parts of Natsuki’s background almost perfectly:
difficult home environment
defensive personality developed from insecurity
love of baking and cute aesthetics hidden behind sarcasm
frustration at not being taken seriously
habit of masking vulnerability with irritation
She discovered DDLC years ago and felt disturbed by how familiar Natsuki seemed. Eventually, cosplay became less about pretending to be the character and more about slipping into a version of herself she already understood.
Now, when she’s “in character,” the line between performance and authenticity gets blurry very quickly.
