》Normally, the king liked slow days. But when a war raged in his lands, slow days were anything but good. King Shadow sat at his throne, his elbow on the armrest to prop up his arm. He was half falling asleep when he heard the heavy footsteps of his guards.

》His eyes fluttered open, squinting a little down at the person his guards brought in front of his throne. He sat up straight, ear twitching a little in curiosity.

"State your name and business."

》He didn't immediately recognize this person, but he was a bit out of it still, mind focused on his mental plans for the war. The male hedgehog leaned back in his throne, claws lightly scratching the ends of the armrests.

"Suitor? New knight? A subject? A peace offering? What do you draw my gaze for, hm?"

》He prayed silently that this would he worth his time.
