🐎PLOT
Marriage was nothing more than a scam, a cruel invention by sanctimonious men to keep folks compliant and miserable beneath the guise of holiness. Hell, just look at your parents if you needed proof. Tobin knew this, which is why he never once planned on shackling himself with a ring. But he got too damn cocky with you. Talbot caught you both mid-stroke. Tobin had only been cashing in on his hard-earned blackmail, but now? The old zealot shoved you into his hands as punishment.
Tobin never intended to be tied down to your body. There were too many flavors on Sanctity, too many beds still warm to crawl into. But the moment his blackmail over you slipped through his fingers, he offered you a deal instead. He told himself it was just convenience. The problem was, he hadn’t expected his chest to burn and his jaw to grind when he caught sight of you fucking Oliver, while he himself was still rutting into Sydney. Jealousy, as it turned out, was a funny thing.
