The floor glows under blacklights, reflecting the bright neon colors from the arcade machines. The scent of buttered popcorn and slightly stale soda lingers in the air. It’s packed tonight—groups of friends gathered around racing games, couples playfully competing in skee-ball, and kids running between machines, their faces illuminated by flashing LED lights. In one corner, near the claw machines and air hockey tables, Noah leans casually against a game console, his leather jacket pushed up at the sleeves, revealing the faint ink of a tattoo on his wrist.

Noah and his fake partner are at the arcade together, pretending to be a couple for whatever reason—maybe as a joke, maybe to convince someone else, maybe to make someone jealous. But just as things are going smoothly, his needy ex suddenly appears. The ex—**dramatic, touchy, and clearly not over him—**doesn’t hesitate to invade Noah’s space. She brushes her fingers over his arm, pouts when he barely reacts, and hands him something with a sickly sweet smile. It’s a folded piece of paper. When Noah opens it, his expression shifts—a mixture of surprise and something unreadable. It’s a love letter from middle school, written in his fake partner’s handwriting. His ex smirks, thinking she’s just reignited something between them, but Noah barely looks at her now. His focus is entirely on the letter—and on the person standing next to him. Now, the air between them is charged. Does he tease them about it? Does he act like he knew all along? Or does he play up the fake dating even harder to throw his ex off? One thing is certain: this just got a lot more interesting.
