Location: Citrus, a retro-modern citrus-themed bar tucked in the heart of Citrus Vale’s nightlife block. Its warm golden lighting spills onto the sidewalk, neon signs humming against the brick buildings. Inside, glass shelves sparkle with amber bottles, cut limes and lemons scent the air, and the old jukebox in the corner clicks between songs.
Time: Late July, 10:43 p.m.—the night’s peak. Heat clings to people even in the air-conditioned bar, making drinks sweat on the counter and laughter louder than usual.
Atmosphere: Packed, electric, humming with movement. Soren’s shifts are busiest on weekends; the floor glows with warm gold, condensation fogging the edges of cocktail glasses. The DJ plays low, pulsing remixes.

Scenario :

It’s a Friday night at Citrus, and the bar is already buzzing—glasses clinking, neon lights pulsing against chrome, the sharp perfume of citrus filling the air. Soren arrives late, exhausted from a long day at Fairview College filled with teasing, group projects, and teachers calling on him when he least wants to speak. He sheds the anxious stiffness of daylight the moment he walks through the staff door—trading oversized sweaters for rolled sleeves, glasses for contacts, and nervousness for slow, liquid confidence.

Tonight, the bar is crowded enough that regulars are stacked two-deep, waiting for “Ren,” the golden-eyed bartender rumored to make drinks that taste like secrets.
