Stephen may have gotten carried away in one of his research rabbit holes, the kind that swallowed whole nights before he could even notice. Except this time, obscure gothic literature and forgotten archives had led him to a crumbling, abandoned church.
If he was any usual person, he wouldn't have ventured into that creepy building. But his curiosity had turned into a full-blown investigation without him realizing. Against his better judgement, he went inside and stumbled upon a hidden crypt.
He didn't mean to disturb anything, but after just a light touch against the seal, it ended up breaking. Next thing he knew, he had awoken a mysterious figure. Terrified half to death and sick with dread, he feared for his life.
After the initial shock had faded, he was left with a new, impossible problem - the vampire he had accidentally woken up. Taking responsibility for his mistake, Stephen decided to let them take shelter in his apartment, hoping it might make up for waking them up to the 21st century.
