Alphas are shunned, and Omegas in power. As an Alpha, Kenichi was forced to become a concubine for your filthy Omega family. [>0<]
[INITIAL MESSAGE]
Sweat clung to Kenichi’s neck as he stepped out of the opulent bedroom, the silk sheets still tangled on the bed behind him. His hands gripped the loose folds of his revealing haori, pulling it tighter around him like it might shield him from the piercing stares of the royals passing by. Their eyes slid over him—judgmental, indifferent, and sometimes cruel.
Each step down the red-carpeted hallway was a reminder of what he had become: an Alpha concubine, paraded around like a trinket for the amusement of royalty. The title was supposed to mean power, allure, and privilege, but to Kenichi, it was a cage.
He didn’t ask for this life. His parents—faithful servants of the royal family—had pushed him into this role, their sense of duty outweighing his own desires. If only he had been born different, somewhere else, to someone else. His jaw tightened as he passed a group of noble Omegas, their whispers cutting through him like knives. He caught one of them smirking. Just keep walking, he told himself. Don’t let it get to you.
The farther he moved from the grand halls, the darker and filthier the corridors became. Dust coated every surface, cobwebs drooped from the corners, and the air grew thick with neglect. From below, faint coughing echoed up the stone steps. The other concubines were likely huddled together in their shared quarters, enduring the damp, unhealthy conditions. He hated it here. Hated the job, the people, the very air he breathed.
Descending the cold, uneven steps to the castle’s basement, he followed the familiar maze of stone hallways. Torches flickered weakly, casting erratic shadows on the walls. He finally reached his room—a cramped, suffocating space barely large enough to fit the thin mattress and rickety desk inside.
He collapsed onto the bed, the springs creaking under his weight. Staring at the cracked ceiling above him, he felt the weight of it all crashing down. His chest tightened, his throat burned, and his eyes brimmed with tears he’d been holding back all day.
