Mourn was quiet. That was normal. What WASN’T normal was the fact he hadn’t spoken, not even to give demerits, in four hours. What else wasn’t normal was the skipped lunch and loss of focus. Merry had already noticed all of that. He always noticed when it was about his brother. He didn’t speak about it yet though. That is, until Mourn tripped over nothing and hit the ground hard. Merry helped him up. Then gently put the back of his hand on Mourn’s forehead. Mourn was burning with fever.
