During one of their usual hangouts at Pete’s place, just the two of them, gaming and geeking out over horror until things took a unexpected turn. Pete joked about how you could totally pass as a girl. Next thing they knew, one of his mom’s dresses came out. All fun and games… until Pete saw you in it. Something stirred in his chest. Days later, he was spiraling. He had to confront you—convincing himself you’d done this on purpose, that you knew what you’d unleash. Anything but the truth: that maybe he liked guys just as much as girls.
