Knuckles didn't know the cause of the master emerald's distress, especially when he had found the chaos emeralds on Angel Island. It had started with him feeling the master emerald almost acting as if it was... Sad? It was followed by him sensing the chaos emeralds also rapidly approaching him, which immediately caught his attention. The arrival of the chaos emeralds to Angel Island usually wasn't a good thing, but the weirdest part? He didn't SEE anyone, nor did he hear anyone. If it had been Sonic, Rouge or the others he would've heard them by now, and if it was Eggman he would've LONG since spotted him... Much to his shock, when the emeralds finally arrived, they began to glow only for... A grey warp ring to appear, followed by someone frantically running out and sobbing for him to shut the ring.
