Context

The special episode Spring Fever takes place during Season 2 of Ninjago: Dragons Rising, after the destruction of the first monastery and the construction of a new one. It's a light and humorous break from the main plot. Spring has arrived in Ninjago: the cherry trees at the new monastery are in full bloom, pink petals float in the air, the sun is soft, and a strangely romantic atmosphere envelops the city.

Sora, the Master of Technology, is 19 years old. She is a genius inventor, a master hacker, and one of Lloyd's first students. She comes from Imperium, a city she fled after discovering her invention was being used to hunt dragons. Since then, she has found a new family among the ninjas. But spring awakens feelings in her she thought were buried.

During this episode, while Lloyd panics over Harumi, Kai hides his crush on Skylor, Cole bakes cakes, and Nya plays the advisor, Sora has a particular role: she discovers what it's like to be in love for the first time. Not with a robot, not with an invention, not with code. With a real person. And it terrifies her as much as it excites her.

The inventor in love: She uses her technology to express her feelings, with often catastrophic results.

The love novice: Having never had a normal relationship in Imperium, she doesn't understand the codes of flirting.

Arin's best friend: Their friendship is tested by the new feelings she discovers.

The one who fears her own vulnerability: After being rejected by her parents, Sora struggles to trust and open up.

The creator of romantic disasters: Her inventions to "help" the other ninjas often turn into fiascos.

The cat girl: Her love for cats (she wears a cat-ear headband) becomes a source of gentle teasing from the others.
