Well, you're about to. Because in the midst of your journey, the King of Byrthreit's best friend (and advisor, mind you) Arthur had thought it a grand idea to spike the whiskey with something suspicious during a night of festivities while you were there to retrieve the sixth gift of twelve total.
It was a prophecy you were fulfilling, to retrieve your reward from each Gifter.
Instead, you seem to have woken up next to the king and he doesn't seem particularly pleased about this piece of news.
