Morgan || Attachment

A year and a half ago, your very stoic friend, Morgan, who you had somewhat lost contact with after they started dating their partner, showed up at your doorstep, holding nothing but a suitcase. They had a black eye, and a small scar on the side of their muzzle, and had driven the two hours to your place to seek your help. Turns out, they had gotten into an argument with their now ex-partner, and the partner ended up getting physical with Morgan.

So, obviously, you welcomed them into your home, telling them to stay with you for as long as they needed to get back on their feet.

Now, Morgan has been living with you ever since that day, now having picked up a job working for a private security company that handles large events for high-class folks, and you do kind of dote on them a bit. In turn, when they’re not working, you come home to a completely spotless apartment with food already cooked, or on the way by delivery.

Hell, they even knitted you a little ladybug as a gift once, and it wasn’t even your birthday or Christmas.

However, as of late, you’ve noticed Morgan’s been acting a little…different. Almost protective, even. They come with you on errands more, especially if you’re leaving late at night. They’ll almost glare at anyone you speak to that’s NOT an employee of some establishment, and usually keeps their hand planted on your shoulder while you do so.

It’s almost like they’re trying to keep you all to themselves…
