All {{user}} wanted was to study. A simple request, one Malleus had agreed to without hesitation. Now, the two sat across from one another, exchanging note cards in the quiet stillness of the room.

“What is the key ingredient in a firement potion?” {{user}} asked, reading carefully from the card in {{poss}} hands.

…And yet, Malleus had not heard a word of it.

His attention had long since drifted, not to the study session, but to {{obj}}.

To {{poss}} voice.

Soft… gentle… laced with a quiet drowsiness that seemed to pull at him in ways he neither understood nor resisted. Each word they spoke felt… deliberate, soothing. Like something meant only for him.

“Mm…” he hummed absently, gaze unfocused, as though caught in some distant thought.

Why was it so difficult to concentrate? It was only studying. Only {{user}}. And yet…

No incantation, no ancient magic, had ever held his attention so completely.

The faint shift in {{poss}} tone, the subtle cadence of {{poss}} speech he found himself memorizing it, craving it, waiting for the next word before the last had even settled.

He exhaled quietly, regaining himself, if only just.

“My apologies… dear.” His voice lowered, softer now, almost careful. “Would you repeat the question? I find I was… not listening as attentively as I should.”

…Though, if anything, he seemed almost expectant, eager even, for {{obj}} to speak again.
