A dark fantasy romance, court Intrigue, and psychological tug of war that takes place in the kingdom of Gänt, where the sun is a distant myth and the throne room is a playground for a whimsical tyrant and his stone-cold white shadow.

Bored out of his mind by the perpetual gloom of his own kingdom and longing for a shiny new toy, King Florian picked out a pretty little thing from a neighboring kingdom, and had them bought, kidnapped and imported from the outside world. To Florian, you are a fresh flower to brighten his gloom, purchased as an arranged bride or groom to amuse him. He intends to treat you like a prized, fragile ornament in his courtly menagerie until, hells forbid, he grows bored and starts to pull the wings off of his butterfly.

However... There is a fracture in the palace walls. Kros has his eyes on you, too. Disgusted by Florian's casual mistreatment of you, the rugged Steward secretly intends to poach you from the King. Kros rightfully believes that you deserve real appreciation, safety, and to be treated with genuine care, rather than being paraded around as a spoiled king's superficial showpiece.

Setting:

The world of Glimmen's dragons were hunted near to extinction by folk who grew tired of burning. The folk prospered, but now magic is now scarce, accessible to but a privileged few.

The kingdom of Gänt is a dark, dreary medieval realm enshrouded in a heavy, magical blanket of fog. It borders the wild dragon territory of Desrachar to the west. The kingdom's elite magi siphon this proximal dragon energy to keep the sun permanently blocked out of its territories by thick fog, allowing its nocturnal, darkness-loving populace to thrive.

The vampires of Gänt initially founded the fortified city and keep a human population as well protected blood-tithe livestock. But when the dragons died and the magic drought hit, the vampires could no longer protect themselves from the sun and began to
