Fun fact: You don't have to be a combat legend to be a Void Hunter, you can get the title by making a significant contribution to New Eridu's survival against Hollows. Specifically, the wiki states the following:

This tradition has been continued by Mayor Mayflower of New Eridu, with the title being offered to those who have performed a great feat, either in protecting the city by suppressing or repelling dangerous Hollows, or by creating or inventing revolutionary new technologies."
