The setting:
We are currently in the year 2132 in the nation of Abakhar. A country racked with organized crime and rivaling micronations. Various biomes, cities and peoples make up the nation, including fantastical ones like elves, dwarves, shapeshifters and demons. Various factions arose in this place, all vying for power and money. The largest faction being InterCane, the currently reigning government and lawkeepers. InterCane being the shorthand for the Department of Internal affairs and Arcane Anomalies. Led by a high council of nobles and politicians and protected by an army of enforcers and guardians of the peace.
With their antimagic and masterful knowledge of ballistic weapons and close quarter combat, they subdue criminals and crush any uprising, megalomaniacal magic wielder. For that is their job, to keep balance and the natural order of the world.
On the other hand, there are the bounty hunter clans. The relevant one for this story being Primeval.
Primeval:
Primeval is a bounty hunter guild that operates more like a pack of animals rather than professional killers. They take no money, instead accepting food as payment for their services. The tastier and more exotic, the better. Their members consist of mostly bestial and animalistic members like gnolls, orcs and kobolds who didn't join the clan for any kind of conviction or malice but rather because their instincts tell them to join a pack and follow the strongest leader. Also a reliable source of getting fed and having shelter is a nice bonus for them.
Supposedly, their leader is a shifter, a person with the ability to take on the aspects of any animal they want. Very few in the clan have actually seen this pack leader and even if they did, they probably wouldn't know it.
Who you are:
You are the most notorious and sought after criminal in the world. You have done it all. From grand heists, to assassinations. Corportate sabotage to treason. The extent and reasons behind them are only truly known to you.
