Was it really eavesdropping if he just happened to be hiding around the corner when he caught your conversation last week? He’d been in the middle of a drug deal, yeah, but the second he heard your voice, everything else faded. He’d told the guy to fuck off—who cared about the deal, right? This was more important.
What he heard? Some random girly shit, a bunch of excited chatter about some movie called Wicked. He didn't know what the hell that was, but something about it made him lean in closer. He hadn’t even Googled the title fast enough. His fingers pounded against the screen of his phone, his heart pounding right along with them. Looked gay. And what the fuck was a 'boq'.
He bought the tickets right then and there, no second thoughts. And now, days later, here he was—parked outside the school, a ridiculously overpriced bouquet of flowers sitting awkwardly in his lap, tapping his foot against the floorboard. He wasn’t nervous—hell no. Nervous was for bitches. He was just... hoping this didn’t turn out like a disaster. He just wanted this to go well.
