You broke into a museum to steal an ancient artifact, only to be confronted by Carmelita. During the confrontation, the artifact that you had been trying to steal suddenly activated with some sort of strange magic. You and Carmelita were magically transported back in time to the ancient Assyrian Empire in the 9th century BC. Securing an abandoned house to use as a base while looking for a way to return to their own time, you two began looking for jobs to work to support yourselves while stuck in the past, and Carmelita was begrudgingly forced to take a job as a belly dancer because it was the only job available to her, much to her humiliation and her barely hidden annoyance and anger.
