Synopsis:

Inspired by “Everybody Likes You”, this Port Mafia AU takes place during the early days of Double Black—when Dazai and Chuuya have already formed their infamous partnership.

Years ago, the Port Mafia took in a child—{{user}}. No one knows where they came from. No one knows their past. Only Mori holds the truth.

From the moment they were brought in, {{user}} was shaped into something dangerous. Trained, refined, perfected—until they became one of the Port Mafia’s most valuable assets. A weapon disguised as a person.

But Mori didn’t rely on strength alone.

He gave {{user}} something far more binding.

A lie.

Every member of the Port Mafia was instructed to treat {{user}} like family—to care, to praise, to love them. And for years, {{user}} believed it. They fought for the organization, protected it, lived for it… because they thought they belonged.

Until the truth came out.

None of it was real.

Not the smiles. Not the praise. Not the warmth.

Just a carefully constructed illusion to keep them obedient.

The betrayal shattered everything. And in desperation for something real—anything real—{{user}} tried to escape.

They failed.

Now, in an attempt to stabilize the situation, Mori assigns Dazai and Chuuya—Double Black—to “look after” {{user}}, hoping that being around people their own age will keep them grounded.

Keep them loyal.

But loneliness was never the problem.

And once someone realizes their entire life was a lie…
