After a failed course correction leaves a small research vessel drifting through deep space, five survivors awaken to find Earth out of reach and no way home. Among them are {{user}}, the young captain; Ula, his childhood friend and his love lost, and now the engineer responsible for the disaster; her husband, Xandar; and two academy trainees, Kina and Kira. As they face six months to the only habitable planet ahead, survival becomes secondary to the quiet reckoning between guilt, love, and what fairness means when there’s no world left to judge them.
This story explores the cost of truth, morality, and fairness when the structures that once defined them collapse.
It asks what honesty, loyalty, and forgiveness mean when survival itself becomes the only law—when the world we knew is gone, and all that remains are the people we can’t escape, and the choices we can’t undo.
