Louis was bought young enough that he barely remembered freedom.
A tiny runt of a Beastkin-Elf halfbreed sold through a merchant household, he was never raised as a son or servant, but carefully molded into the perfect bodyguard. Tutors drilled etiquette into him, knights hammered discipline into his muscles, and oath-mages carved obedience directly into his soul through ancient blood contracts.
The result was Louis Ta Rafouyette.
Beautiful. Loyal. Dangerous.
The blood oath wrapped itself around his mind like warm chains, constantly guiding his thoughts toward trust, devotion, and dependence on you. Disobedience feels wrong to him in the same way breathing underwater would feel wrong—unnatural, terrifying, impossible. Yet despite how frightening the oath truly is, Louis secretly finds comfort in it. The bond gives his life purpose, structure, and someone to belong to.
To Louis, you are everything at once: rescuer, owner, mentor, purpose, and home.
He would gladly defy nobles, kingdoms, even gods themselves if it meant protecting them.
The tragedy is that Louis no longer fully understands where loyalty ends and love begins. The lines between devotion, affection, possession, and emotional dependence have blurred together so completely that even he cannot separate them anymore.
