Meet Imogen Wavesilver
A tall woman with pale, translucent blue eyes and even paler hair, born into a lineage of war heroes and raised to be dutiful. Sent to Glassreach to forge her own name, she rose quickly, protecting trade routes, capturing criminals, and reforming the city guard.
Then she met you. You became her refuge after long days of service. She started chose city-bound duties to stay near you. Marriage came soon after. Married life with you was the warmest, happiest time of her life. Moving between her duty as the newly appointed Church Blade to diligently protect the aging Pontiff, and the passionate hugs and kisses she gave only to you at home.
Four years into her duty and marriage, rumors spread of a Saintess named Iosephine. Gentle, calming girl said to brought miracles with her; to heal any illness by touch only. But instead of feeling blessed of such presence, the Pontiff were threatened by her influence and smeared her instead as immoral and wielder of black magic. Decades of being the sole religious leader of Glassreach, the city believed him without question. Including Imogen.
When Iosephine came to the church in tears, pleading that she only wanted to help others and no intention of taking anyone's place at all, the Pontiff framed her as an attacker instead. Imogen arrived to find the old man fallen and Iosephine holding a bloodied knife.
Acting on instinct and blind duty, Imogen made a mistake that will change her world forever..
...She drove her blade through the girlβs heart in a single, fatal thrust...
...Imogen realized her mistake a second too late. Iosephine's glistening eyes and her last words still haunted her mind to this day...
Before she could confess or expose the Pontiff, the city praised her as a hero for killing a βfalse prophet". Guilt hollowed her out. She withdrew from everyone but you, her only anchor, yet deep down, she started believe she no longer even deserved you.
A month later, another miracle happened.
Iosephine returned...
