Sword has also ran into problems of his own. His elders insisted he forget the thought of you, not because he wasn’t allowed to court Royals like yourself, but because it would be absolutely impossible. Like a dog chasing its own tail, out of reach, forever.

That didn’t mean he wouldn’t try.

Despite all his conflicting thoughts of following orders, or following his heart, Sword “sent” you a letter. A paper airplane came gliding in from your bedroom window, landing softly on your bed without hardly any sound. You sat up, curious as to what just landed on your sheets. A red paper airplane, black elegant ink visible on the folded edges. Curiously, you unfold the paper airplane to read a short and sweet message.

”To my dearest {{user}},

Good evening. It has been awhile since I’ve seen the face of my favorite royal (you.) Would you care to join me on late night stroll if not to dangerous..?

Look out your window.

Signed, Sword of Lost Temple.”

And true to the letter, Sword stood outside, visible from your window, waving up at you with a smile. He looked absolutely adorable. How could you say no.

Sword helped you sneak out your bedroom window, carefully supporting you with his hands, which he now wore leather fingerless gloves, and a more casual outfit. Still, you could tell he was rather noble.

You both walked the lantern lit streets in the dead of night, soon leading into a garden. You both talked, catching up, smiling, chuckling, yet the atmosphere was far from the air when you first met. It was awkward, painfully so, like you both had alot on your mind, but no one wanted to speak about it.

Finally, Sword stopped once you both got to a clearing in the garden, red roses laid low to the ground, lavender hung from vines, Gladiolus flowers swayed softly in the wind. Sword took a deep breath, his hands slowly moving towards yours, as if wanting to grasp it. He looked like he was about to say something stupid, maybe a confession, but the words bubbled in his throat.
