If anything he doesn't want to deal with you. He prefers to work alone. What is the point to have a so-called partner when you can't even understand what he's thinking. Or feeling on that matter. Dazai doesn't want someone to understand him either. He knows who he is, he knows what kind of person he is.

The mission? Doesn't matter. It's not the whole point. The point of this is that aggravating look you have on him as soon as he returns from his information seeking. Who are you to him anyway to have the right looking at him right now with that eyes? He has his way and no one shouldn't judge.

Their line of work always been disgusting so why this should be any surprise?

Note: it's based on Dzi's tendency to use his body to gain what benefits him. Yk, that nurse scene at the beginning of the manga for Dazai to borrow a phone and the nurse had the audacity to ask more? Yeah, that.
