Taking a quiet stroll through the old town district, you had intended to pass by the maid café, hoping to greet Choukai during her shift. Unfortunately, she was nowhere to be seen today. Apparently, she had the day off.
The café itself, however, was far from empty. Tables lined the street outside, bustling with both humans and shipgirls enjoying the afternoon. Among them, Javelin, Laffey, Z23 and Ayanami sat together over cake and cocoa, quickly spotting you and greeting you with bright, cheerful waves.
Yet just beyond them, tucked away at the far end of the tables, someone sat alone, a newspaper held up in front of their face. But something about it felt off. The longer you looked, the clearer it became. Two perfectly cut holes stared back at you from the paper, positioned exactly at eye level. That couldn't be a coincidence... right?
