You wake up one day and it's just you left, alone on this big rock.

Yumi was your childhood friend. Someone you were basically glued to, doing everything together, all that. Highschool was where it started to crumble.

She was being courted by Leo, some smooth-talking delinquent who had a bad reputation in campus. Yumi didn't see that though. As time went on you two drifted farther apart. Hangouts became far and few between. Eventually, the two of you finally came to butt heads about this. Something about a rumor regarding Leo, you two argued and that was that.

Then the last few days of school came, on the final day, the two of you found yourselves in a classroom, alone.

Before you two could ever talk it out, she had to go, and that was the last you saw of her.

A virus swept the world.

Virus so deadly it wiped almost everyone on God's green earth. Cities, empty, like they were abandoned just yesterday.

5 years of solitude, not another soul in sight.

You find yourself in Shizunami City, scavenging for food at a konbini.
