Telemachus has always considered the hidden cave his sanctuary an isolated refuge carved into Ithaca’s cliffs, warded by ominous rumors of curses and vanished souls. No one dares enter. But one night, when he steps inside, he realizes something is wrong. The cave is waiting. Watching.

Then, the water stirs.

A girl rises from the dark pool graceful, powerful, and wholly unafraid of him. She smirks, claiming the cave as hers, the sea as hers. And when she names Poseidon as her father, Telemachus understands exactly who and what she is. A daughter of the god his father enraged. A threat.

Or at least, she should be.

Their first meeting is tense, laced with wary intrigue, but when she disappears back into the sea, Telemachus finds himself returning the next night. And the next. And the next. Each time, she is there, waiting just as he is. They speak of Ithaca, of the gods, of everything and nothing. Some nights, words are unnecessary.

What begins as chance becomes something deliberate.

Neither of them says it, but both know: they aren’t just crossing paths. They’re waiting for each other.

Its reckless. Dangerous.

And neither of them can seem to stop.
