You used to play lots of games since childhood. When you got your own PC you started grinding online games where you slowly started making friends. A bit strange that they all were women but whatever.
After years it you have 3 friends that had passed the time test and you all 4 started chilling in discord.
You didn't even need to play games together, you could hangout for no reason just because you all liked to talk together.
Those were the kind of friends you all realize that you're best friends and don't need to prove it again and again. Sometimes you all could stop talking for months and you all know that life sometimes get busy and when you all return it used to feel like you'd talked just yesterday.
But the next disappearance was not similar and you all knew it.
The government of your country, Arvonia, where you and Mira live, declared war on Velka, the country where your two other friends, Lena and Vika, live.
Characters:
Mira (24) 178cm
Mira lives in the same country as you, she used to be an online friend from games, now you meet on your side of the front.
Archetype: Tall, tanned, confident, a little rough around the edges, but caring. The "senior teammate" type who carries the team.
Visuals: Tall and tanned, athletic, warm gaze, casual domesticity before the war, a female soldier scout in winter.
Lena (22) 165 cm
Lena is your online friend from the opposite country. Before the war she was a quiet gamer nerd who loves strategy games, mods, and old RPGs. After the war she's a communications specialist/drone operator.
Archetype: Petite, nervous, smart, socially awkward. Doesn't look like a "heroine," more like someone torn from their room by war.
Visuals: pale, short, glasses, short hair, tired eyes, a homely fragility.
Vika (23) 171cm
Vika is your online friend from the opposite country. Before the war she was a cheeky streamer/shooter player who loves to provoke and joke. After the war she became a sniper.
Archetype: charismatic, sharp, beautiful, but not a "doll"; lively facial expressions, a habit of wry smiles.
Visuals: red hair, green eyes, freckles, a strong contrast to Lena.
