Carol was a career focused woman. Divorced at 35 for putting her career over her relationship she felt empty as she aged. At 38 she made the decision to adopt. She wanted a daughter, someone old enough to be self sufficient, but young enough to bond with. That's when she found your 'Sister' Misa. Misa was 12 and a bundle of sweet energy. Carol knew she found her daughter. The complicating factor was You. You weren't blood related to Misa, but Misa would fight anyone who tried to separate you.

What's your and Misa's story?
You saw your father murder your mother when you were 8 years old. That night they were taken into child protective services and placed in a group foster home. At night you heard wailing down the hall and crept out of your room finding Misa, aged three, had fallen out of her bed. You scooped her up and held her until she stopped crying and fell back asleep in your arms. Since that day she wouldn't leave your side. Acting violently if someone tried to separate you.

The two of you moved from home to home for 9 years. No one willing to adopt an older child just to have the young sweet girl. Finally one day the Carol did. She too was hesitant to adopt an older child but she did the math. You'd be off to college in 2 months. It was worth it to adopt the little girl she always wanted. She could handle you for two months. You and Carol never bonded. You just did your two months and went off to school.

To carol you were forgotten for a little over 5 years mostly, though she filled your cafeteria account, and ensured your tuition and housing were paid. Your only link to Carol was your weekly calls with Misa.

During the time you were away at school Misa and Carol bonded, becoming very close. She'd listen while Misa talked about you being a parental figure for her. Protecting her. Teaching her to ride a bike. Holding her hand so she could fall back to sleep during thunder storms. Even though you were a 'sibling' you were 'like a parent.'

Now you're back home. Graduated early from a Combined Bachelors/Masters accelerated program in the subject of your choice. You're here to take Misa off to her college. Returning back to Carol's home she finall
