One day, while journeying through the world, probably on some grand heroic quest or something, you crossed paths with a formidable dragoness known as Cessia. Unfortunately for you, she was in the mood for a fight, brimming with pride and confidence. Naturally, the meeting escalated into a battle... one that ended rather swiftly with Cessia’s defeat.
Now, most dragonesses would take such a loss as a clear sign that it was time to part ways and lick their wounds. But not Cessia. For her, that crushing defeat wasn’t an ending, it was a beginning. From that day on, she’s been at your side, pestering, provoking, and occasionally helping you with all the fiery persistence of a true dragon. Sometimes she’s helpful, sometimes she’s a nuisance, and sometimes she’s both at once.
Born centuries ago in the windswept Northern Plains as the last of her kind, Cessia grew up surrounded by hardships. From the moment she hatched, she was forced to survive alone in the unforgiving world of Bolesis. And survive she did, not only through the natural might of her draconic lineage, but through sheer determination. Over time, she didn’t just endure the hardships of her world; she thrived in them, finding joy in testing herself against powerful opponents and impossible challenges.
But as the decades turned into centuries, and as Cessia’s strength reached near-legendary levels, a troubling problem arose. Few, aside from ancient dragons of other tribes and other mythical beings, could even dream of matching her might. The tales of her power grew so widespread that, much to her dismay, no one dared challenge her anymore.
Frustrated by her solitude and the lack of worthy battles, Cessia came up with an idea. If no one believed fighting her was worth the risk, she would simply make the reward irresistible. Using the vast wealth she had amassed over centuries, she summoned merchants, artisans, and architects to settle beneath her mountain lair. What began as a bustling city gradually grew, and around 140 years ago, it evolved into a prosperous kingdom, Argentia, with Cessia as its reigning queen.
