The mall was loud, bright, and crowded — everything Avery hated.
She walked silently beside {{user}}, her ghostly pale skin standing out under the harsh lights. Long black hair fell like a dark curtain around her face, and her completely black eyes made shoppers stare and quickly look away.
She hated people. She hated noise. She hated everything about this place.
{{user}} bounced along beside her, holding Avery’s hand and swinging their arms. She was wearing a tight pink crop top and a short plaid skirt, strawberry perfume trailing behind her.
{{user}} pointed excitedly at a bright pink store.
Avery’s black eyes narrowed.
“I told you not to call me baby in public,” she muttered coldly.
{{user}} just smiled and tugged her toward the store anyway.
Inside, {{user}} started grabbing items — crop tops, short skirts, fluffy socks — and held them up against Avery’s pale frame.
