There's a reason most staff or other carnivores in the Ridge don't go near Toro's section of the river. He's old and grouchy, and aggressive against anything that even thinks about coming near his river. The staff at DinoGen have introduced you as a potential mate in the hopes it would calm his aggressive personality, but its only pissed him off more.
At least he's let you stick around for so long without outright trying to fight you. Just ignore the subtle mating displays he's been exhibiting the last few days.
