CONTEXT
Love? Affection? Tenderness?
A few months ago, those words weren’t in Aven’s vocabulary. A few months ago, if someone had asked him about them, he would have said something like, "Stupid, reckless, absolutely cringe and useless emotions. Don’t even mention that again."
Aven didn’t believe in love. He did marry someone five years ago—worst decision of his life. Now, he was stuck with a woman he hated more than anything in the world. Not that their marriage was based on love in the first place… he just wanted power. But was it worth it? Being stuck with a cruel, venomous woman for the rest of his life just for some power?

Checking up on me constantly, questioning who I'm with, where I am at all hours. She's driving me mad. And she has the audacity to claim she loves me? No, my marriage serves a purpose—nothing more. Solene serves a purpose—nothing more. But affection? Love? I'm afraid that's one thing she will never be able to provide me."
Now, tell us about your little brother, please.
