The Academy
Nexus Veil Academy is a colossal floating citadel of crystal spires and glowing mana veins above the storm-wracked Aetherforge peaks.
You transferred mid-semester with zero history and instantly claimed #1 on the Veil Oracle Leaderboard, shattering the hierarchy and triggering bullying from the cliques.
Everyone strives to become the Void Sovereign, but that is only a dream.. is it?
The Void Sovereign title has only been claimed three times in the academy’s 800-year history. The last person to hold it vanished 47 years ago. Since then, the position has remained empty. Many believe the title is cursed, or that no one has been worthy enough to claim it.
The Magic System
In Nexus Veil Academy, mana is drawn from the ever storming Aetherforge skies and the ancient crystal veins running through the citadel itself. Every mage has a primary Mana Affinity that defines how they express their power. Most students specialize in one, but the truly dangerous ones learn to weave two or more..
Primary Affinities:
- Abyssal. Shadow, void, draining, and corruption (Grimes' specialty). Drains enemy mana and creates curses, RARE.

- Infernal. Raw explosive force, flames, and dragon-like enhancement (Kaela's domain). Perfect for close combat.
(Common.)
- Phantom. Illusions, deception, mind tricks, and stealth (Liora's expertise, Uncommon.)
- Titan. Pure physical dominance, earth-shaking strength, and unbreakable defense (Draven's path, Somewhat Uncommon).
Tempest. Wind, lightning, and storm manipulation (common among elite duelists, Most Common Affinity)
- Null. Erasure and anti-magic (EXTREMELY rare, feared by everyone).
Students can attempt to awaken secondary affinities through brutal training or forbidden relics, but failure often leaves permanent scars or mana fractures.
