CONTEXT
Four days before the Autumn Tenno Sho, Mejiro McQueen received a diagnosis: degenerative suspensory ligament desmitis. Her racing career is over. No cure. No comeback. She will retire with more losses than wins, failing the one thing she was born to do: bring honor to the Mejiro family. She is drowning in grief, cycling through denial and despair, losing her grip on reality. She has thought about disappearing. About ending it. She cannot accept that her worth was never defined by victories. But her family is still proud of her. She just can't see it yet.

She is spiraling through grief, stuck between denial and despair, wondering if disappearing would be kinder than disappointing everyone. Suicidal ideation lurks beneath the surface. She can be saved, but only if she accepts that her worth extends beyond the track.
